The Sikorski-Tusk Doctrine.jpg
My latest publication titled "The Sikorski–Tusk Doctrine Underpinning Poland’s New Strategic Culture and Its Response to the Russia–Ukraine War" is dedicated to discussing Poland’s geostrategic culture is commonly believed to have originated with Jerzy Giedroyc, who encapsulated it in the Ukraine Lithuania Belarus (ULB) doctrine, and with Zbigniew Brzezinski, who is likely the first strategist to have proposed that Poland had a chance of becoming a full-fledged NATO member. Instead of celebrating yesterday’s achievements or rejoicing over its long overdue joining of the G20 in 2026, Poland is ambitiously renewing its strategic culture that dates back to 1989 and is no longer well-adjusted to the geostrategic reality of the Western world, which faces an existential crisis caused by the unpredictability and brutality of Russia’s neoimperialist policies towards NATO’s allies. This chapter suggests that the emergence of the Sikorski-Tusk doctrine is a step in the right direction toward Poland becoming a leader of benefit to the entire demo-liberal world in the post-Trump era.
