Elective Course: American Foreign Policy(1953-2025)
The course explores U.S. Foreign Policy from an evolutionary perspective, it covers the consequences of American policies. It evaluates these consequences for the U.S. and the world after the Second World War, the US's involvement in the Korean and Indochina wars, the Cuban Missile Crisis, Iraq and Afghanistan, Libya, and the US's involvement in the current conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Special emphasis is placed on exploring the American political system, American Leadership, its soft power, smart power, and hard power, and various doctrinal approaches from the perspectives of IR theory, geopolitics, and geoeconomy.
